Ride the Noosa Classic and help make kids’ dreams come true with the Make-A-Wish Foundation

By 13 February 2019Charity News

We are delighted to announce that the Make-A-Wish Foundation has come on board as one of the official charity partners for the 2019 Noosa Classic. What’s more, Make-A-Wish has generously offered to refund entry fees for riders who can raise at least $1,000 for the charity.

Founded in 1985, for 34 years the Foundation has been known around the world for its compassion and ability to get kids and their loved ones through the hardest of times.

Every day, six families around Australia receive the news that their child has a life-threatening medical condition. Make-A-Wish makes the cherished wishes of children and teenagers battling life-threatening medical conditions come true.
They take each child on a carefully designed and utterly unique journey, turning dreams into reality and putting smiles onto all-too-often sad faces. This journey not only gives these sick kids and teens hope for the future, it also provides them with the much-needed strength to take on the challenges of their illness while all the time filling their hearts with joy from their incredible wish experience.

The vast majority of families say they see noticeable and lasting improvements in their child’s emotional and physical health as a result of their wish journey. As one wish mum recently commented, “It was the turning point during his treatment.”

So sign up to the Noosa Classic 2019 in support of Make-A-Wish – help make dreams come true and give these poor kids an experience they’ll never forget.
